Peter J. LoMonaco

Our Founder, Peter J LoMonaco, proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. As a radio operator, Peter displayed outstanding initiative and perseverance in the harsh conditions of combat. With his high level of efficiency, he enhanced the operational effectiveness of his unit and gained the respect and admiration of those who were associated with him. On July 13, 1970 while on combat patrol Lance Corporal LoMonaco found four marines who were seriously injured in combat by enemy grenade fragments. He immediately and skillfully directed a medical evacuation helicopter to the exact location allowing his fellow marines to receive medical care in a minimal amount of time. Peter was very proud of his time in the service and the things he was able to accomplish. After leaving the service, he wanted to find a way to give back to his fellow troops and veterans so he started Troops Relief Fund as a way to help his fellow brothers in uniform.
